Over the weekend, a couple weeks ago I went and saw The Host. I had recently just finished the book a few days prior and was excited to see it.Let me just tell you The Host is definitely worth seeing.
Its a romance meets sci-fi thriller, with pack action and a pinch of comedy.
Personally I loved the movie. I think the actors were great and portrayed the characters well.
Sometimes, I felt the storyline was a bit slow, but the action made up for it.
I was never a big fan of Stephanie Meyers Twilight Saga, but The Host is one of my favorites.
Character wise, I am Team Ian. He stick up for Wanda, and loves her for her and not the body. Jake Abel, the actor who plays Ian in the movie is a spitting image. He is not only a hunk, but a total sweetheart.
Saoirse Ronan (Melanie/Wanda) is a talented actress and has proved she can play two characters. She was definitely the right choice.
Max Irons who plays Jared, definitely put on quite a performance. How he acted toward Wanda was well done. He made me hate his character but still feel sorrow for him.
Whether you're a fan of Stephanie Meyer's previous Saga or not, definitely check out The Host.
